Recognition of leadership excellence is an important goal of the annual Leadership Wisconsin Conference so nominate today and help celebrate leadership in Wisconsin.

Eligibility & Criteria

Nominees should be a Wisconsin resident or organization who has demonstrated exceptional leadership that has resulted in a significant impact on the economy and quality of life at the local or state level of Wisconsin. The recipient must have demonstrated dynamic leadership skills in multiple settings and have achieved extraordinary success in the goals set out to accomplish. These are people and organizations that, quite apart from personal/organizational achievements, have raised the capacity of others to advance the common good.

There are three award categories, namely:

  1. Emerging Leader Award, (under 21 years old)
  2. Modeling the Way Award, (Individual award)
  3. Collaborating for Transformation Award (Organization award)

Multiple Nominations - You may nominate more than one individual or organization.

Selection Process
Nominations are now being sought from the general public, business, academic and political entities throughout the state.
Nominations will have:  Download the Award Form

  • Nominee contact information for the person or organization.
  • Nominator contact information.
  • Letters of support may be submitted separately by each supporter, no more than 3, clearly labeled.
  • Nominee sends a description no longer than 2 pages and other supporting documents may be submitted – no more than 3 pages.

Nominations are vetted by the Leadership Wisconsin staff, who conducts reference interviews for the most compelling candidates. Information is then forwarded on to the Awards Committee, a panel which reviews nominees and recommends the finalists. Winners and their nominators will be contacted in March 2011.

Awards Celebration - These prestigious awards will be presented during the 2012 Leadership Wisconsin Conference, Rewriting the Rules: Learning to Lead in a Changing World, April 24-25, 2012, Tundra Lodge, Green Bay.

The recipient will receive a beautiful commemorative award symbolizing dedication to the skills, abilities and characteristics that are essential for exceptional leadership.  The winner must be present at the award ceremony.
